THE CROSS CRADLE POSITION
This is a suitable and ideal method for early breastfeeding i.e for infants and small babies who have trouble latching on.
Also known as the crossover hold. It is similar to cradle hold, the difference is you don’t have to support your baby’s head with the crook of the arm, instead, it is supported by the thumb and fingers of the opposite hands i.e if you are nursing from right breast then hold your baby from left hand and arm. You may need to support your breast with your free hand.
